Flood victims urged to have faith in God
UGHELLI—POLITICAL Adviser to Delta State Governor, Chief Fred Majemite, has urged persons displaced by the recent floods in parts of the state to have faith in God.
He described the floods as a monumental disaster.
Majemite, who stated this shortly after donating food items and other relief materials to flood victims at Ughelli camp, charged them to take active part in the skill acquisition programme being organized in the various camps.
He said the trainings were part of the post-camp arrangements being put in place by the state government.
Majemite lamented the traumatic experience flood victims were going through, adding that “the donation stemmed from my desire to identify with the affected persons and to let them know that they are not alone.”
Soliciting the support of NGOs, corporate bodies and well meaning individuals, he commended Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for the steps he had so far taken to cushion the effects of the ravaging floods in the state.
